I finally had a chance to make a project from Amy Palanjian‘s crochet book, So Pretty! Crochet. It features 24 projects from various crafters including a few projects from my friend, Cara Corey, a fellow Drakey, blogger, and maker of some amazing knit and crochet goods.

Cara, Amy, and I managed to meet up when I was freelancing for Better Homes & Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa a few years ago. I called Des Moines home for four years after college and still love that city. I can’t wait to go back this fall to promote my own book!

I used up more of my yarn stash (surprise, surprise) and based the project on Cara’s throw pillow pattern. I have to admit the project can get a little addicting.
