Knitting Iceland

While traveling in Iceland I turned into a knitting machine. It may have to do with being surrounded by people wearing beautiful Icelandic sweaters or the fact you can buy yarn in practically all the grocery stores. My sister was inspired to learn and she recently finished a scarf!

There was plenty of colors to drool over in the grocery store.

But my weakness was yellow and gray.

And although I scoured a thrift store for the perfect Icelandic Sweater, in the end, I just had to splurge on one.

My sister did too.

Jim was lucky and found his in a thrift store.

I also discovered Knitting Iceland a studio + shop owned by Ragga who teaches classes as well as gives knitting tours.

I fell in love with the studio space and snapped away…

Ragga was also featured in a NYT Magazine article and I snapped a few behind-the-scenes photos.
